Made for conversation

Translation that gets out of your way.

Choose a language direction, start listening, and hear translated speech through the same glasses you already wear.

Live spoken translation

Continuous speech is grouped into natural phrases so the translated voice is easier to follow than word-by-word audio.

Audio routed to your glasses

Translated speech plays through the active Bluetooth audio route, keeping the experience discreet and hands-free.

Keep your phone in your pocket

After you start a session, Harmonix can continue listening and speaking while another app is open or the screen is locked.

Privacy policy for the Harmonix Audio app, with instructions to recover access or permanently delete your account.

Last updated:

Privacy policy

This policy covers Harmonix Audio, the companion app for compatible SonaVue audio glasses. The app is published through the developer account of Jelena Savic for Harmonix. For app support, privacy questions and account requests, contact Harmonix using the details below.

This app policy is separate from the Harmonix website and shop policy, which applies when you visit the shop or make a purchase.

Account and device information

We process your email address, display name, account identifier, sign-in information, age confirmation and acceptance of legal documents to create, secure and manage your account. We also store app preferences and saved glasses information, such as the glasses name and model, available firmware details and connection timestamps.

Supabase provides authentication, database and backend infrastructure. Account emails, including verification and password recovery, are delivered through Resend. The selected Android Bluetooth device identifier is kept in protected storage on your phone.

Speech, translation and voice output

When you start translation, microphone audio, recognized speech, translated text and recent conversation context are processed through Harmonix services and Tekpoint servers to recognize speech, translate it and generate spoken output. This requires an internet connection. Data is sent over encrypted connections.

Tekpoint has confirmed that conversation audio, recognized and translated text, and generated voice are not retained after processing, including in content logs or backups, and are not used for AI training. The app does not save a conversation history. This does not mean that account records or technical service logs described below are absent.

You control microphone access through your phone permissions. Tap Stop in Live Translation to end listening and playback. In the current app, leaving the translation screen, switching apps or locking the phone also stops translation. Respect the consent of everyone taking part. AI translations can contain mistakes.

Technical and usage information

To operate and protect the service, we process account-linked request counts, translation and voice character counts, audio-duration totals, and temporary service-capacity records. These records do not contain conversation audio or text.

Supabase infrastructure retains technical and security metadata, including IP addresses, approximate city and country derived from network information, information about the connecting software or device, request status and performance. We use this information for service operation, security and troubleshooting, not advertising.

A limited performance-timing cache is kept locally on the phone. It does not contain conversation content, account identifiers or device identifiers and is not uploaded automatically.

Optional music information

On Android, optional notification access allows Harmonix Audio to display Spotify song title, artist and playback state from media-session information. The app does not read notification message contents for this feature. Track information stays in memory on your phone and is not saved or uploaded by the app. You can disable this access in Android Settings.

Music and other external services remain subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Their login credentials are not requested by this page.

Support and service providers

If you contact Harmonix, we receive the contact details and message you choose to send so we can answer your request. Support messages are used for customer support, not marketing or advertising. Do not include private conversations, passwords or sign-in codes.

Service providers receive information needed to perform the functions described in this policy: Supabase for app infrastructure, Resend for account emails, Tekpoint for speech and translation, and the email or support services used to answer requests. Information may be processed outside your country. You can ask Harmonix for details relevant to your account and applicable privacy safeguards.

Harmonix Audio does not sell your app data or use it for targeted advertising. Separate website or shop activity is covered by the website policy.

Retention and deletion

Account information is kept while your account is active. Deleting the account removes the login account and linked profile, preferences, saved glasses, legal-consent and service-usage records from the active app database.

Technical and security logs, email-delivery records, support correspondence and any operational backups are handled separately. They may remain where needed for security, handling your request or legal obligations; deleting an account is not a promise that every infrastructure record disappears immediately. Contact Harmonix for the applicable records, retention periods and any exception affecting your deletion request.

Conversation content has the separate non-retention treatment described in “Speech, translation and voice output”. Instructions for deleting your account are directly below.

Your rights and security

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, obtain a copy of or delete your personal information, restrict or object to processing, and raise a complaint with a privacy regulator. Contact Harmonix to make a request. We may need to verify that you own the account before acting.

Use a strong, unique password and do not share recovery links. Access controls and encrypted connections help protect your information, but no service can guarantee absolute security.

Age and policy changes

Harmonix Audio requires users to be at least 16. If you believe a child has provided information contrary to this requirement, contact Harmonix. Changes to this policy will be shown here with an updated date.

No app installation required

Delete your Harmonix Audio account

You can delete your account in the app or request deletion by email if you no longer have the app or cannot sign in.

Request deletion by email

  1. Write to david@harmonix.is, preferably from the email address registered to your Harmonix Audio account.
  2. Use the subject Delete my Harmonix Audio account and state that you want your account and associated app data deleted.
  3. If you cannot access the registered email address, explain this in your message. Support will need to verify ownership before completing the request.
Request account deletion by email

The button opens a draft in your email app. You must send it yourself. It does not automatically send a request or delete an account. If it does not open, email the address above. For other support options, visit the Harmonix support website. Clearly identify any deletion request as Harmonix Audio account deletion.

Never send your password, recovery link or verification code.

Delete directly in the app

  1. Open Harmonix Audio and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete my account.
  3. Read the confirmation and select Delete account.

What is removed?

Your login account and associated active app records: profile, preferences, saved glasses, legal-consent records and service-usage records. Any legacy conversation records linked to the account are also subject to deletion; the current app does not create a conversation history.

The technical, support, email and backup exceptions described under Retention and deletion may apply. For an emailed request, support may verify ownership and will communicate completion or any applicable exception; sending the email is not confirmation that deletion has finished.

Deletion is permanent. A deleted account cannot be recovered using password reset. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your account. Deleting an app account does not automatically delete a separate Harmonix shop account or cancel a purchase.

Recover access to your account

If your account still exists but you have forgotten its password, reset the password in the app:

  1. On the Harmonix Audio sign-in screen, select Forgot password?
  2. Enter the email address registered to your account and select Send recovery email.
  3. Open the email on your phone and follow its recovery link.
  4. Enter and confirm a new password of at least eight characters, then select Save new password.

If the email does not arrive, check spam or junk and confirm the spelling of your email address. Request a new link if the old one has expired. If you cannot access the registered inbox, contact support; ownership must be verified and recovery is not guaranteed.

Change a password while signed in

Open Settings → Account → Password. Enter your current password, choose and confirm a different new password, then tap Change password. If you have forgotten the current password, log out and use the recovery steps above.

Password recovery restores access to an existing account. It cannot restore an account after permanent deletion.
